Attorney General Greg Abbott wants New York gun owners to move to Texas

Attorney General Greg Abbott wants New York gun owners to move to Texas

Abbott’s Facebook appeal to New Yorkers.

What in God’s name is Attorney General Greg Abbott doing?

Abbott launched a Google and Facebook banner ad campaign inviting New Yorkers who feel that their second amendment rights have been violated to move to Texas.

Don’t we have a big enough problem with know-it-all Californians in Austin? Now we want to invite New Yorkers to the party?

The Google ad banner. What’s with the Old West theme?

Abbott’s strange move is perhaps aimed at zinging Governor Mario Cuomo, who just signed the nation’s most draconian gun laws.

It’s also the same state where the agenda driven Journal News newspaper published an interactive map of every gun owner in the New York City suburbs of Westchester and Rockland counties.

The action of the newspaper’s “journalists” has done nothing but provide burglars with an easy to read map of who to target. Criminals are already targeting people on the map. Why wouldn’t they? It’s low hanging fruit.

A poll by Siena College showed that 73 percent of New Yorkers wanted the toughest new gun laws in the country and they have it.

Now Abbott wants them in Texas?

Can’t Texas just keep pinching off New York’s Fortune 500 companies instead?

Trust me, a flood of New Yorkers is not what you want here in Tejas.

Just ask Florida.
