Texas Christian University starting quarterback Casey Paschall was arrested for DWI Thursday morning.
Coach Gary Patterson has suspended Paschall from the team indefinitely.
Paschall was popped by a Fort Worth cop at 1 a.m. Thursday morning. He was pulled over in his pickup truck after running a stop sign and hitting a curb.
Coach Patterson didn’t want to talk to news media about losing his star quarterback. He’s only released a statement.
“Casey Pachall has been suspended indefinitely from competition. My job as a head coach is to win games, educate our kids and help them with their lives.”
The DWi arrest is not Pachall’s first run-in with the law. He was one of a number of TCU athletes targeted earlier this year in a massive drug bust on the school’s campus.
Paschall wasn’t charged, but he did fail a drug test at the time.
