kipp Austin Humane Society: Dog shot in the face at close range with pellet gun

Kipp

AUSTIN, TEXAS – The Austin Humane Society describes Kipp as a sweet, loving, mixed-breed dog that needs a home.

But Kipp’s story is a heartbreaking one of unimaginable animal abuse.

A Good Samaritan rescued Kipp from the the side of a road in Crosby. He had been horribly abused and he has the scars on his face to prove it.

The Austin Humane Society took Kipp in and after an examination they discovered the extent of his abuse. His scars show that he was cornered and shot over a dozen times at close range in the face, most likely with a pellet, BB or airsoft gun. As he ran away, he was still under fire and was shot in the tail and hindquarters. His wounds have healed, however he still has three pellets under his skin, but luckily they will not need surgical removal.

Nursing Kipp back to heath has been costly for the Austin Humane Society, plus he needs a heartworm treatment. The Humane Society is asking the public to make donations for his medical care.

If you would like to help, the Humane Society has set up a website to accept donations. Click here.
